How your toddler's growing
Around now, your toddler's play will probably start shifting
from mastering fine motor skills (she's got that thumb-and-forefinger grasp down pat)
to exercising larger muscles.
Some children this age have an attention span of two to five minutes for quiet activities
— although your child's favorite games may not be all that quiet.
Your child probably thinks it's fun to push, throw, and knock everything down.
She'll give you a toy as well as take one,
and she likes games in which she can put things in containers
and dump them out again.
This works well with blocks in buckets or boxes and
with small plastic containers,
which she can nest inside one another.
She'll thrill to the loud sounds of pots and pans banging together, too.
Your life: Helpful shortcuts
Here are a handful of parent-tested ideas to make life easier:
Create your own ready-to-go meals and snacks.
Fill a set of plastic bowls (with lids) or plastic snack bags
with individual servings of your child's favorite
finger foods so you'll have them at the ready
when you need them for meals and outings.
Equip your car.
Keep a supply of nonperishable drinks and snacks,
diapers, and other necessities in your car
so you don't have to spend time gathering
things when you want to leave the house.
Some moms keep a second diaper bag in
the car for this purpose.[/color]
Go high tech.
Pay bills, do your banking, and even shop for groceries online.
Soak before you wash.
Fill your sink or a bucket with soapy water
and place dirty dishes, bottles, and other cooking and
eating items in there. When you get around to them,
they'll be much easier to clean.
Invest in housekeeping supplies.
Consider splurging on cleaning and laundry supplies
that may cost more but will save you time or energy.
Keep organized and clutter-free by using a good
system of shelves, baskets, and other containers.
3 questions about: The 1-year checkup
What can I expect at my child's 1-year checkup?
Expect the doctor to weigh and measure your child,
check his eyesight and hearing, give him a head-to-toe,
front-to-back physical exam, and vaccinate him.
She'll also ask you questions about your child's overall health and nutrition and his physical and cognitive development,
and give you some feedback based on your answers and her observations.
She may also check your child's hemoglobin level
(to look for anemia) and lead level
(if there's a risk of environmental lead exposure),
if these haven't been checked already.
How can I prepare?
Decide ahead of time whether you want your toddler to
get the varicella vaccine (to prevent chicken pox) and the
hepatitis A vaccine, both of which are optional but
recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics
(learn why the varicella vaccine is considered a good idea).
Be ready to answer questions about your child's sleeping,
eating, teething, motor skills, communication skills,
social skills, vision, and hearing.
It also helps to bring a list of any questions you'd like to ask the doctor
— and your child's immunization record if you have one,
so that it can be updated.
What questions should I ask?
Consider asking about whether you should give your
child vitamins or supplements and about treating health
problems that may come up (like colds or injuries).
Ask about any worries you may have about your
toddler's health, development, or behavior, and
about how to stimulate his development.
Finally, ask about what you can expect in the coming months.

Besday gal and the Wild World

Hepi besday nabila..
mama & abah tak plan pun na wat birthday party untuk nabila coz u're still young, baby...
nnt bukan nabila yang tiup lilin..mama yang tiupkan..tak syok la mcm tu.. 
so mama n abah plan bawak nabila p Zoo Negara since just 5 minit je dari rumah...
Nabila, Abah & Mama headed up to Zoo Negara around 11.30am
coz tunggu nabila bgn tido dulu.. 
Once we reached there, abah straight away up to the ticket counter, afraid of the long queue afterward. Abah decided to walk a long the pedestrian path..
blh tgk haiwan lebih dekat..kata abah..
Nabila terbeliak mata bila tgk the largest mammal on earth, an elephants...
tak berkata apa2 just look with wide eyes open..
heeheehee then giraffe also the same respons..
mungkin dia pelik kot apa la tuh agaknya..tak pernah tgk pun kat rumah..
yang dia tau cat and ayam aja..tuh pun sebab kat area
rumah dia ada byk cat and ayam..
Syukur la nabila tak meragam hari tu..bg dia susu,
duduk la dia diam2 dlm stroller tu..sambil tgk2 keliling..
tapi bila kumpulan kanak-kanak kindergarten dan kanak-kanak sekolah lalu..
amboi2 bukan main suka lagi dia...
kalau la nabila dah boleh berjalan mama rasa dia da terlari2 dah kejo kumpulan2 tuh..
suke betul dia ngn kakak2 and abang2 itu... 
actually dulu-dulu masa mama kecik2..zaman kanak2 riang dulu..
mama rasa zoo tuh mcm beso jek tp kali ni pegi mcm kecik jek..
mcm tak puas berjalan..agaknya sbb ms tu mama kecik so nmpk semua benda beso2..heehee
tapi sebenarnya mama tgk zoo negara dah tak
happening mcm ms zmn mama kecik2 dulu...
kawasannya mcm terbiar..
bangunannye dah berlumut2..
ada kaunter yang macam dah na roboh & terbiar kosong..
haiwan pun dah tak byk..
dulu kat tasik tmpt burung bangau lepak2 tuh ada permainan kereta air..
ala yg roda beso..blh naik 2 org then kayuh la keliling tasik tu...
so public blh main2 kat tasik tuh la..
tp sekarang tasik tuh pun dah kotor dan tak terjaga...
permainan tuh pun dah xda..
pony ride pun tak da..
nuri photo taken pun dah tak da..
hmm mama tak tau la..
may be dorg tak buat pony ride and nuri photo shoot hari sabtu kot..
hmm ntah la..
tapi ape2 pun..janji nabila terhibur..
at 3pm nabila, abah and mama when to see the animal show..
the guests of the show are...kukkoo,the parrot and brad,the sea lion...
crowd give both of 'em a big hand because of their entertaining performance..
nabila was very happy, she also clap her hand when
she saw people clapped their hands..heehee 
Selesai aje show tu..mama ajak abah naik train lak.
so we all pusing la sekali lagi zoo tuh..heehee nabila suke naik train..tuttuuu..tuttuuuu...
and tuttuuu..tuttuuu...we headed home..we had a great time together...

Babies at this age can follow simple instructions, passing a cup or giving a hug.
And in addition to 'Mama' and 'Baba,'
your baby is able to babble short, fully inflected sentences
that sound like a foreign language.
Keep talking to your child, naming and labeling objects and people -
the more you do, the faster your child's vocabulary will grow.
By now, your baby should respond to simple questions -

le Tour de Kuala Lumpur

bukan berjalan keliling Kuala Lumpur tapi dalam perjalanan balik ke Kuala Lumpur dari rumah Tok kt Pengkalan Hulu.
Mak Andak Nabila pun tumpang sekali.
Bertolak dari rumah dah lewat jugak..lps asar..
nasib baik la kt highway tak jam...
riso jugak kalo jam sebabnye sure la akan sampai rumah lewat...
kalo sampai pukul 1 or 2 pagi mmg mama akan kelam kabut esok pagi nye
sebab nak kene gosok baju abah n mama..
na kene masak kan bubur nabila lagi..
na berkejar ke opis lagi...kebetulan isnin yg bakal menyusul ini
mama 1st time kt opis baru..
uishh lagi la tak boleh lewat...
hmm tuh la bersyukur sgt bila highway tak jam..
tapi kami singgah makan malam kat RnR Tapah...
makan malam pukul 6.30pm..heehee dinner ala-ala chinese gitu..
chinese kan dinner kul 7 pm selalunye..
kami tak mkn kt restoran2 tu..kami mkn bekalan yg dibawa dari kg..
siap ngn petai, ulam-ulam, sambal belacan, ikan masin lagi you...
tapi abah nabila malu-malu na keluar kan petai tuh dari tupperware..
kontrol macho la tu kononnye.. heehee..
lps mkn..solat jap pastu baru bertolak..sampai rumah lebih kurang dalam pukul 11 pm...

unfinished playground...
|

apalah paksu nabila..playground tak berapa siap lagi dah ajak p main.
masa paksu ajak tu mama ingat playgraound tuh dah siap..dah cantek..
tapi rupe-rupenye belum siap sepenuhnya..
tak pe lah..dah sampai dah pun kt situ..
ape lagi..nabila mmg suke sgt-sgt lah..
mama letak dia atas kuda..menyengih je dia..heehee
actually playground tuh untuk penduduk2 kat taman ...
hmm ape tah namanya mama xbrp nak ingat..heehe....
actually taman tuh pun belum ada org duduk lagi sbb baru je siap..
dekat je ngn umah tok nabila..belakang umah jek..
mula-mula tuh kitorg je yg ada kt situ..
pastuh ada la bro n sis nih bwk adik2 dia berjalan kt situ..
aduhai..sukenye nabila..dia mmg suke berkawan..
pantang nmpk budak2 sebaya dia..suke bebeno..
so we all duduk bermain kt situ sampai pukul 7.00 pm then head up home..
